About the Role
The Basketball Cup/Volunteers will be asked to assist in the following areas:
Accessibility:
Tasks ensure TBC is accessible to everyone. This includes accessibility banners through the venue; and assisting attendees as sight-guides.

A-Team:
Tasks include being on-hand for whatever and wherever it is needed. This is a constant on-the-go position that requires flexibility and willingness to move throughout various areas of TBC.

Ticket Takers:
Tasks facilitate the consistent flow of traffic at TBC gates. They include collecting tickets; hand stamping for re-entry; checking bags; and directing foot traffic to appropriate areas.

Hospitality:
Tasks include keeping hospitality areas clean, organized, and stocked.

Set Up and Breakdown:
Tasks begin Wednesday before the festival, and continue through Saturday after the TBC, and are labor-intensive requiring the ability to lift at least 25 lbs. Duties include setting up/breaking down tables and chairs; putting up/taking down green screens and TBC signs; and loading/unloading.

Partnership Relations:
Tasks involve the welcoming and service for event partners. They include welcome check-in and assistance with questions and/or other needs.

Requirements
Skills:
Ability to engage with individuals in an empathetic, culturally responsible manner
Verbal communication skills

The Basketball Cup (TBC) is a postseason college basketball tournament designed specifically for teams that did not receive invitations to their respective national tournaments. TBC is structured into four regions, each culminating in the crowning of a regional champion. Teams are grouped by region to minimize travel time and expenses, ensuring a more efficient and cost-effective competition. Uniquely, The Basketball Cup employs the Target Score game ending, where every game concludes on a made basket, adding an exciting and distinctive element to the tournament.
